Due to technical difficulties, the Manhattan Camerata has not been able to list their Gala Event on their website. It IS happening tomorrow, September 25th at 6:00p.m.!!! Unfortunately, the Repertory Opera Theater of Washington has decided to cease operations before the end of their season.  With this in mind, Heather Roberts will not be singing the role of Adalgisa for Norma in the month of May as was previously scheduled.  It is a very difficult time for the arts in this economy!

For those of you who have been asking about albums, Heather Roberts finished recording her first album "Perspectives" last week. In addition to Pergolesi's entire oratorio work called the "Stabat Mater", the album features Heather singing an amazing compilation of pieces called "The Confession Stone" by Canadian composer Robert Fleming. Melodic Dog Productions is shooting for a release date for "Perspectives" this December! More to come...

November is here and with it the opportunity to hear the American premiere of the 4 Act Lucca version of Puccini's opera "Edgar". This work hasn't been performed in the United States until now! Heather Roberts will sing the lead role of Tigrana in collaboration with members of the American Center For Puccini Studies. For those of you wishing to buy tickets for the "Opera To Broadway!" performance on line through the Bethesda Theatre's website, if you go to the website, it does not list the upcoming performance! The Bethesda Theatre has been having technical difficulty with updating their website. If you are on the email list serve for the theatre then you should receive the updated performance schedule which includes "Opera To Broadway!". Regardless, you can call the Bethesda Theatre to purchase tickets or you may purchase tickets at the door. Ticket price is $15.00 and the show begins at 10:00p.m.!

For those of you who are the wonderful patrons for the American Center for Puccini Studies, due to venue unavailablilty, the Gianni Schicchi and Puccini Vigil no longer will happen on December 19th. Gianni Schicchi, most likely paired with Il Tabarro, will happen in the Spring. Dates TBA!!!!

The Accadia Foundation For The Arts in New York just re-worked their site and added new pictures. If you go to www.accadia.org, you will be able to see a recent picture of me from the concert at the Bechstein from July, 2009!

For those of you who have been following my performance calendar, I wanted you to know that the original dates for "Edgar" have been changed and are updated on my site. I am excited to sing Tigrana in Puccini's Lucca version which includes ALL four acts of "Edgar" (...typically, there are only three act recordings available...). There are some amazing children singing in the opera as well! Don't miss out on hearing this fabulous work.
